ROSEMARY TUCKER “Be respectful, treat people the way you want to be treated, help those who can’t help themselves, pray, and keep God first.
”These are the simple, yet powerful words RoseMary Tucker’s mother instilled in her as a child in Cairo, Georgia. Now, the messages serve as the blueprint for RoseMary, the successful, multi–faceted business woman in Houston, Texas, who lives and breathes those same words today.
RoseMary Tucker is a philanthropist, an award–winning entrepreneur and true fashionista, on the surface. Deep down, the loving mother to Darion, Dyanna, Adrian, and Adian is a faith warrior whose fiery, relentless spirit, drive, and determination flows directly into her blossoming empire as CEO of Blessties Christian Apparel and Founder of Hoodies4Healing Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Although she’s an inspiring innovator, impactful influencer, and powerhouse brand builder, there’s only one divine mission for RoseMary—be a blessing to someone else. After combining her nursing degree and professional expertise in the promotion, entertainment, and real estate industries, in 2015, RoseMary opened Blessties Christian Apparel to glorify God by designing and printing unique spiritual t–shirts and hoodies.
Six years since its inception, the Cypress, Texas, brick–and–mortar boutique expanded its merchandise to include hats, joggers, jumpsuits, face masks, scented candles and a plethora of fashionable accessories. One–of–a–kind designs from the home of “Where Blessed Friends Shop” are ever–changing and come embedded with empowering quotes, uplifting affirmations of encouragement, and positive thinking to foster a growth mindset for women, men, and children.
Today, Blessties is an innovation hub and launch pad for emerging and up–and–coming businesses, because RoseMary is the ultimate bridge builder, encourager, and collaborator. When she says, “I believe in you,” she means it.
RoseMary is the legendary woman behind several soon to be billion dollar brands housed under the beloved Blessties umbrella, including “I Am Bullied.”Heranti–bullying response was developed when her son, Adian, was bullied at school. As an alchemist, she turned a negative into a positive with the acronym: Beautiful. Unique. Limitless. Loving. Intelligent. Educated. Determined.
Next, is her athleisure wear line, SWOLLE, which symbolizes Strength, Wisdom, Overcomer, Loyal, Loving, Empowering. And finally, her most popular brand is Hoodies4Healing Foundation, the faith–based nonprofit that is taking the Greater Houston area by storm.
Hoodies4Healing Foundation was created, in 2018, when RoseMary found herself facing a health crisis. Her daughter, Dyanna, developed a brain cystrequiring immediatesurgery. Through prayer, outreach, and community support, RoseMaryraised over $60,000 by selling hoodies with the battle cry, “I Am Healed.”Upon the successful surgery and a miracle, RoseMary promised God that she would dedicate her life and spend her time, energy, and resources pouring into others in need.
To this day, RoseMary has not reneged on her promise. She rises each day doing what she loves —helping others. She contributes funding, clothing, and shoes to local grassroots organizations and tirelessly puts forth the effort to make the homeless be seen and heard. On Sunday mornings, she feeds the homeless in downtown Houston. In December 2020, she gave away 200 hoodies, and in January 2021, she hosted a blanket drive.
Her latest calling? Using her giftstoprovidefinancial supporttosingle mothers with severely ill childrenthroughher new Mother of the Month (MOM) initiative, launched in March 2021.
For this cause, Hoodies4Healing Foundation and Blessties Christian Apparel form an ally to feature a mother each month, create and sell custom, special edition “I Am Healed”hoodies and other items in honor ofthe child. At the end of the month,50% of the proceeds are donated to the mother to help cover the child’s overwhelming medical expenses. The goal is to sell 1,000 hoodies a month to benefit each child.
